Globe launches “Game Well-Played” campaign, aims to spur local esports scene

A consistent advocate of the rising local esports scene, Globe Telecom has launched a new campaign dubbed “Game Well-Played” to showcase the positive side of gaming and to draw more support to the Philippine gaming industry.

The launch highlighted the #KakalaroKoYanWithGlobe movement where the telco encourages gamers of all kinds to share the advantages of gaming in their daily lives.

“While there are many stereotypes and stigma around gaming, we believe that there is value to acquire in spending hours of training for a competition or simply getting lost in a new world while meeting new friends. In seemingly dire battlegrounds, strategic thinking and creativity can flourish,” said Rina Siongco, Get Entertained Tribe at Globe head.

Globe continues to solidify partnerships with developers of popular gaming titles including Genshin Impact, Pokemon Unite, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, League of Legends Wild Rift, Valorant, and Legends of Runeterra to bring affordable gaming-centric mobile prepaid promos to Filipinos.

“As we make these games available exclusively on GoPLAY, we aim to give our customers more avenues to discover new worlds and experiences that will help them develop skills that can be used in real life,” said Globe Prepaid brand head Givielle Florida.

The Ayala-led telco also collaborated with Telekom Malaysia and Swarmio media to roll out an all-in-one gaming platform called the Globe Gamer Grounds.

With Globe Gamer Grounds, Filipino gamers can play their favorite game titles, invite friends to create strong teams, buy upgrades like skins and weapons, participate in community events and tournaments, and watch streams from their favorite gamers.

Join Globe’s gaming and esports community by visiting the Globe Gamer Ground website at https://globegg.emberhub.gg/.
