Globe Telecom is eyeing to migrate all of its users to fiber technology by 2022.
In a statement, the Ayala-led telco said it has been migrating its broadband users from DSL and LTE to fiber for over a year, noting that it’s “on track” to complete the process.
“By 2022, all of our customers will be able to enjoy fast fiber technology capable of handling the present and future needs of the household,” said Globe At Home vice president for marketing Barbie Dapul.
“We will continue to guide them for an easy and smooth transition,” she added.
Globe furthered that migration increased by 250 percent as of October 2021, surpassing its 2021 target.
This year, the company is looking to install 1.4 million fiber-to-the-home lines.
