Ayala-led Globe Telecom has bagged three recognitions at the recently concluded 18th Annual International Business Awards, including a Gold Stevie for Most Valuable Corporate Response for its efforts in keeping its employees and customers safe during the pandemic.
Globe was recognized because its “COVID response was communication-based and people-based, which met many needs that suddenly hit the social and work scene.”
“There was a clearly stated and straightforward vision. The response was broad and swift and made an important difference to people who were isolated,” the award-giving body said.
Among some of Globe’s award-winning programs were the Globe Labs, its own PCR testing facility, Thursdays By The Desk, which discouraged meetings every Thursday to give way to productive, uninterrupted work, and HopeChat, which connects employees to mental health experts via Messenger.
Globe also received the Silver Stevie for Achievement in Human Resources for its efforts on employee management, digital support, holistic wellness, and learning development that have improved the organization’s relationship with its employees.
The telco was also recognized as the Company of the Year under the Telecommunications division, where it got another Silver Stevie trophy.
