DITO Telecommunity, the country’s third telco player, has been revealed as the official telco partner of the fourth season of realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC), one of the largest e-sports tournaments in the Philippines.
According to DITO’s Brand and Marketing Director Jasper Evangelista, the firm is “excited to be part of this year’s realme Cup.”
“We have seen the competition get bigger each year, which reflects how much the local gaming telecommunity continues to expand,” he said. “With the goal of empowering Filipinos through stronger connectivity, DITO continues to support different telecommunities in pursuing their passions. By empowering our Filipino gamers, we can continue to see the country become a key gaming hub in Southeast Asia.”
Competing teams will vie for a grand cash prize of P50,000, while second and third prizes are P20,000 and P10,000 respectively.
The championship match to be streamed on the official Facebook page of realme will be held on August 26, 2021.
